Today’s guest is Theresa Spiess, the Community Director (now Executive Directory) for the South Texas Chapter of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation. In this episode, she talks in-depth about the patient-driven initiatives, research, educational programs, and activities of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation.

Research:
Theresa gives a brief overview on some new, exciting diagnostic tests being developed as well as an overview on some of the types of research that the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation conducts. The foundation has been involved in every major advancement over the last 50 years, providing more than $330 million in research funding.
